Andrew tells his story in a first story. A gifted storyteller, Andy pulled me into the story of me back to my own teenage years, when a younger Andyrecounts the adventures from his perspective. Interwoven throughout the story are deposits with Rosa, Lauren, Nicole, and Erin. These relationships, add an element of romanticism to 17 Andy's Summer. The climax of the story is set two years later in a sports fishing event that a dream opportunity for a recurring nightmare.
Rich in information about the background of the history of sport fishing and commercial fishing Andrew takes the reader from Monterey to San Diego on the West Coastalong the east coast from Florida to Massachusetts. He describes the Western Ace as a "Navy seagoing tug, which was converted into a modern purse seiners. It was 176 meters long and 11 to 12 knots … they had crossed the capacity of 800 tonnes of fish."
I had a relationship with the fourteen members of the crew as Andy described her reaction to the delays at the ports, the thrill of the catch, the tropical rain storm, the hurricane winds and crashing waves against ill-treatmentthe ship. I learned that the life of the professional fishermen of the death-defying, and is the most dangerous of all professions, with more deaths annually than any other profession.
I was especially when Andy told me about the importance of the summer as a bonding experience touched with his father. "… Was one of the best things about the time I spend with my father, who before this summer, I saw only a couple of days between fishing trips. Spend the whole summer with him gave me the opportunity toknow him not in his domain … I gained a tremendous amount of respect for my father, and came to understand what was an awesome amount of responsibility he as captain. "

Fiction Book Articles | Comment (0)How I Got on the View & Good Morning America
Before going to the National Advertising Summit, I was always a mostly local advertising in my hometown. I got some radio exposure, and even had a few markets that were running my column. I worked with a radio booking company, which connected me with Radio-TV Interview Report. I recruited into, and then I got the e-mails and direct mail advertising through the National Summit. Of course, I was fascinated and thought, "Man, that sounds great," but of courseLike most people, I was skeptical. How could it really all these great contacts in one room?
I went ahead and started for them, while some of the training over the phone, Steve Harrison has people prepare for the summit .. I was just impressed more and more, was how thoroughly the training. I was really impressed with how much I learned in the process to the actual summit. It's like a college course.
When I finally met with the mediathe summit, I felt polished, very excited and nervous. The whole process was very exciting, from your first time learning on the teleseminars until the night before you hit the space and begin face to face with the media. The night before, Steve education is still you. What I have learned skills that I knew that I be able to continue even after the summit.
The other participants will meet you at the National Publicity Summit are really nice people withfascinating stories and great ideas. They come from different backgrounds. Everyone is there for the same thing, and you're all like-minded, so it is a great place to network and meet wonderful people. Also, the energy in the room every day is just so positive. It's very exciting because everyone is so hopeful, and everyone feels like this is the beginning of their history.
I have some really good coverage in the media because of national advertising summit, and learned some valuableLessons are to help you more publicity and increase your book sales:
1. When producers expressed interest to pursue and close the deal.
I made great contacts at the summit, and the first thing I got was an article in Jane magazine about sex have dreams. In addition, a producer of The View was really interested, but I had to constantly work on it after I got home. I stayed in contact and not with calls and emails flooded. Every few weeks, I'd sendher idea of a new history. You must be careful not to annoy, producers, and always something new and fresh, if you have a contact. She has to talk to me, finally, the Halloween episode of the most common nightmares.
2. Do not think any media outlet is too small for you.
At the Summit, I spoke with an editor from the Hackensack, New Jersey newspaper and proposed a story idea of nightmares for Halloween. She loved it and ran the story, then lo and behold, the producer of Good MorningAmerica read the article. That's how I got on Good Morning America. Remember to read the media and watching the media.
3. When interviewed on national television makes other TV shows you want to interview.
Once you have some national media, the producers impressed. I've been three times on CNN, the Today Show, The View, Good Morning America, and also my own host on the Discovery Health Channel. Once you have these notches in their belts, it's almost more impressive than a Ph.D., as far as growing media, because the producers say, "Oh, that person is media literacy. She knows what she is doing and how to talk to an audience." I was called by CNN, because they saw me on Good Morning America. Each interview is combined with something else.
4. Radio Shows network with each other, so that a successful interview can to lead others.
I have a whole series of radio interviews from the summit, and I discovered that if you are a good host to host, you will often refer to otherHosts. Usually morning shows a morning show prep board, and they are names of the guests who like to be able to publish them. Then hundreds of other morning shows this show prep boards and they will see your name and the comments and they will contact you. It is like a spider web that connects everything with everything.
5. Radio interviews, you will dramatically increase your sales.
Sales have shot since I did not summit. I recommend that can accommodate as many radio, because, while allNational TV appearances are great, what I have learned is that I do better in sales if I am to do radio than when I do TV. On the radio, I get to callers who ask me to talk about their dreams, and I interpret them. People actually get to see how it works and how it affects their lives. If they see it work, it sells better. You get online and buy the book. Even if you are one of those issues where you answer questions, you are more likely to be invited again. I tons in the week andmonthly gigs now, and it has become my bread and butter.
6. Literary agents will approach you when they look at your media and sales success.
I myself published my first two books, but a literary agent from New York came to me and I am working with her, and we are putting together a book for Penguin Books. This was a direct result of my publicity was.
7. Your website can an effective sales tool.
You will learn how to sell your website. I make all my moneyabout my website. People buy up consultations with me and books via the website. At the summit they teach how to use the right words and bullets on your site and how to opt-ins. They want the people not only come and go. You want them to have their contact information so you always have an e-mail updates and interesting things to keep them and hold on my heart, and if they want to open finally feel like it, buy the wallet, and your product they willdo it.
